Mark A. Hernandez, 56, has served as the Company’s President and Chief Executive Officer since January 2023 and as a director of the Company from June 2022. Mr. Hernandez led Navistar’s global manufacturing, supply chain, and logistics from 2018 to 2022, most recently as Executive Vice President from 2021 to 2022 and previously as Senior Vice President from 2018 to 2021. Navistar’s core business focuses on the truck, school bus, and genuine parts markets in North America, and sells trucks, powertrains and buses under the International and IC Bus brands, respectively. Prior to Navistar, from 2017 to 2018, Mr. Hernandez was an Experienced Practice Expert (Manufacturing and Commercial Vehicles) at McKinsey & Company, a global management consulting firm, focusing on business transformation. From 1994 to 2016, Mr. Hernandez held several roles at Daimler AG and Daimler Trucks North America, an automotive industry manufacturer of commercial vehicles, where he was a member of Leadership 2020 G16, reporting to the Daimler Board of Management. He graduated cum laude from the United States Naval Academy. Mr. Hernandez served on the Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee and the Environmental, Health, and Safety Committee until his appointment as CEO in January 2023.

Mr. Nicholas A. Vlahos, aged 41, has been with The Eastern Company since 2017. Mr. Vlahos has served as the Company’s Chief Financial Officer since February 2023. Prior to assuming this role, Mr. Vlahos held a senior leadership role as Vice President of Finance, Treasurer and Secretary of the Company with effective oversight of the Company’s financial reporting, tax, insurance, and benefit plans. Additionally, during his tenure, Mr. Vlahos provided support to division operations and Mergers, Acquisitions and Divestitures activities. Mr. Vlahos joined the Company in 2017 as Treasurer. Prior to The Eastern Company, Mr. Vlahos served as Director of Finance, Accounting and Human Resources at Fisher Technology Inc., the North American division of Helmut Fischer GmbH, the market leader for manufacturing of coating thickness and material measurement equipment. Prior to joining Fischer Technology, Inc., Mr. Vlahos served as Controller and General Manager for Inframat Corporation, a research and development contractor for the US Government. Mr. Vlahos holds an MBA and a BA from Central Connecticut State University.

Mr. Jeffrey Fleming has been the Managing Director of Eberhard since September of 2020. Jeff previously led Eastern’s Illinois Lock Company from January 2017 to August 2020. Before joining Eastern, Jeff was VP of Sales and Marketing at Jason Industries and Sales Manager at ITW Automotive. Jeff started his career at Southco where he had roles in Operations, Engineering and Sales. Jeff holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Drexel University.

Mr. Brian R. Hackler has been the President of Big 3 Precision Products since October 2023. Before joining Eastern, Brian was Vice President and General Manager for Woven Electronics, LLC (a part of Collins Aerospace/ RTX) a global leader in aerospace and defense from January 2013 thru September 2023. Prior to joining Woven Electronics, LLC, Brian had broad experience in leadership from venture capital funded (Lightchip), private (Dispoz-o Products), private equity (D&W Fine Pack), and public (Amphenol, Thomas & Betts, Newell Rubbermaid, and RTX) owned companies covering many industries. Brian holds an MBA degree from the University of Memphis and a B.S. Electrical Engineering degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.

Dan W. McGrew, 61, has a proven track record of implementing Lean to improve shareholder value, including his tenure at Velvac starting in 2013, first serving as Vice President of Operations and then as Chief Operating Officer. He led Velvac’s Lean transformation in the manufacturing facility in Reynosa, Mexico, and the Aftermarket parts business in New Berlin, Wisconsin, with support from the Lean Enterprise Institute and Shingo-certified consultants. In his previous assignment, Dan was the Director of Mexican Operations for Esselte Corporation with production facilities in Reynosa, Matamoros, and Mexico City, as well as multiple cross-border warehouses and inventory management responsibility of finished goods warehouses in the US, Canada, and Mexico. Esselte’s Chairman, CEO, and Senior Leadership Team were former Wiremold employees who supported the Esselte Lean transformation by providing Consultants from Shingijutsu and Moffit Associates. Starting in 1981, Dan’s career doing business in Mexico and the US has spanned 5 decades, and he has experience in all facets of operating international businesses in the NAFTA region. He was on the Board of Directors for INDEX Reynosa, the local Maquiladora Association, for over 15 years, including three as President and served four years as Vice President on the Board of Directors of CNIMME, the national Maquiladora Association, whose member companies employ over 2 million workers. His education includes a BS degree in Business Management from the University of Pittsburgh and graduate studies at Duquesne University.
